Deputy Not Guilty of Workers’ Comp Fraud

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy has been acquitted of charges that he fraudulently obtained workers’ compensation benefits.
A jury found David Sherr, a veteran of the department who has been on disability leave since 2001, not guilty of grand theft, insurance fraud and attempted perjury.
