State’s Short-Timers

Share

Your April 19 editorial “Term Limits Are Too Short” is absolutely correct. It is one of the great ironies of our time that the people who advocated for term limits are generally the same ones who complain that government does not function as well as business.

Although none of these people would invest in a business whose board of directors and top management were limited to six or eight years in office, regardless of how well they were performing, they seem to think the world’s fifth-largest economy can be managed by dabblers.
