Treece’s Final Message Could Be a Winner

Share

Trainer Chuck Treece, who became the fifth trainer in the history of Los Alamitos to win 1,000 quarter horse races when Kash To Splash won six nights ago, will try to add another tonight.

Treece, who began his career working as an assistant with John Cooper and Charlie Bloomquist before going on his own in 1983, will send out Final Message in tonight’s sixth, a $6,250 claimer for 3-year-olds at 300 yards.

Owned by Jose Santos, who also campaigns Kash To Splash, Final Message will have to turn things around if he’s going to give Treece another victory. The gelding has managed to make the board only once in his last four races.

Four! Dashin For Dial, Dasani Lake and Dash N Style in the first, Kiss This G Bye and Cheyennes Dasher in the second, Houston’s Touch and Jaming Jammer in the third and Fit Right In and Dreaming Of Chicks in the fourth.
