2 Killed, 7 Injured in Apparent Terror Blasts
Explosions rocked two small tourist hotels and a gas plant in Istanbul, Turkey, killing at least two people and injuring seven in what police said appeared to be terrorist attacks.
The two inexpensive hotels often house tourists from former Soviet republics, police said. The fatalities occurred at one of those.
Police said the explosions at the liquefied petroleum gas plant and at one of the hotels were preceded by anonymous phone calls. No deaths or injuries were reported in the attack at the gas plant.
