Mother of Captured Man Condemns U.S. Officials
From Times Wire Reports
The mother of a U.S. Defense Department contractor captured by Colombian rebels 18 months ago accused the U.S. government of abandoning him and two other American hostages.
Jo Rosano of Bristol, Conn., said in Bogota that she was “sick and tired” of U.S. officials telling her they were doing everything possible to secure the freedom of her son, Marc Gonsalves.
U.S. officials have said they are working to win the hostages’ release but have also said they won’t negotiate with terrorists.
