A U.S. soldier accused of abusing Iraqi inmates at the Abu Ghraib prison near Baghdad has been arraigned on charges that include maltreatment of subordinates, dereliction of duties and committing indecent acts with detainees, the U.S. military said Friday.

Spc. Megan Ambuhl was arraigned Wednesday, and her attorney did not enter a plea at the hearing, the military said.

Ambuhl and three other soldiers charged in the case will appear at a pretrial hearing before a U.S. military tribunal in Mannheim, Germany, on Aug. 23.
