Guy’s guy tries New Year’s Eve

Promoter Michael Sutton on New Year’s Eve is taking over Guy’s bar, where he already hosts a hot Friday night. And the Beverly Boulevard lounge is just the spot if you’ve got a wad of cash and A-list ties. Admission is $150, or $500 for a table.... The women behind the 2005 Bomber Girl Pin-Up calendar and the 2005 Enchanted Fairies calendar will be shimmying with mere mortals Friday night at Bliss, the chic WeHo restaurant and lounge.

Actress Scarlett Johansson celebrated her birthday at Chi at the Hyatt on Nov. 22, and such hotties as Kirsten Dunst, Michael Varten, Chris Judd, Robert Downey Jr., Ashlee Simpson and Justin Timberlake were in on the fun.

The Ivar nightclub in Hollywood continues to host Filthy Fridays -- and to prove a club will do anything to get your buck, women are admitted free before 11 p.m. and the vodka is free too. That’s right, there’s an open vodka bar till 11 p.m. (please designate a driver).... Looks like the Spider Club at Avalon is where it’s at Wednesdays, as promoter Ben Beck hosts a weekly soiree there, sans cover charge.... And in other Avalon news, DJ Sasha on Dec. 18 begins a monthly residency called Fundacion. The cutting-edge dance club will then continue the last Saturday of every month through May.
