American Gets Life Term for Killing Policeman

A former U.S. Marine was sentenced to life in a British prison for murdering a policeman during a routine check on a stolen car. Florida-born David Bieber, 38, a bodybuilder and nightclub doorman, was also convicted of the attempted murder of two other officers.
Bieber shot dead police Constable Ian Broadhurst, 34, on Dec. 26 last year in Leeds as he was being questioned about a stolen BMW.
Bieber was also wanted in the United States in connection with a plot to hire a hit man.
