The High Price of CEOs

Share

Re “Shrinking Wages, Eroding Benefits,” letters, Nov. 27: Unfortunately, there is no question that shrinking wages and eroding benefits are a fact. It appears to me that one of the major causes is the exaggerated incomes and benefits of all the executive officers, and especially the CEOs, of our industrial and commercial organizations.

In order to retain their “top” ability, their total benefits must increase every year. To help find the enormous funds to support executive officers and CEOs in the appropriate style will require the reduction of all expenses not directly needed for production or advertising.
