Cardinal to Cut 4,200 Jobs, Close 25 Offices

Cardinal Health Inc., a medical products and services company, plans to cut 4,200 jobs, or about 7% of its workforce, and close 25 offices as part of a three-year restructuring plan.
The employee reduction is part of a previously announced restructuring program designed to improve earnings by $500 million a year, the company said. Cardinal has about 58,000 employees.
Shares of Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal fell $1 to $55.76 on the New York Stock Exchange.
