Four men robbing an upscale watch store at The Grove shopping center exchanged gunfire with security guards before fleeing in a stolen minivan shortly before noon Tuesday, police said.
No one was injured in the incident, which began when armed men entered Paragon Watch Co. and demanded merchandise. When security guards arrived, the suspects began shooting.
It was not clear how much merchandise was taken, said an LAPD spokeswoman.
