Dishing new ideas

Chris Pike is bidding adieu to Joya, his Beverly Hills fondue restaurant and nightclub. Pike, who also owns Las Palmas, Sangria and the Side Door, is selling Joya and taking his show to Orange County. Pike and partners Brian Schillizzi and Doug McCallister (Josh Slocums) are building Sutra, a sexy Asian restaurant and dance club in the Triangle Square area of Newport Beach/Costa Mesa. . Sutra is set to open in late March.... And speaking of new joints, actor-promoter Michael Sutton (the Roof) is teaming up with Dolce’s Adolfo Suaya and designer Dodd Mitchell to open the Lodge, a new restaurant on La Cienega Boulevard. Mitchell says he’s going for “Frank Lloyd Wright meets a ski lodge.”... And while we’re on the subject of all things new, Luce in Beverly Hills had a splashy opening party on Saturday night. While kicking it at the lounge’s Ciroc Bar, guests including Lara Flynn Boyle, Ethan Hawke and Simon Rex were treated to mini crab cakes and lamb chops. Luce is the third restaurant opened by Ron Tutor and David Bergstein, who also own Le Dome and the new Melrose Avenue sports bar, Game.

photography.com. ... Driveblind fans can catch the Scottish band tonight at the Viper Room. It’s the group’s last show before leaving for the U.K. to record its debut record.
