From Bloomberg News

General Motors Corp. is recalling about 127,000 of its 1997 to 2004 model year Chevrolet Corvettes because an electronic steering column lock may fail, the third recall in a week by the world’s largest automaker.

The sports car’s steering lock may not release when the engine is started and in certain circumstances a driver may lose the ability to steer when the car is moving, spokesman Jim Schell said. GM will start notifying owners.

The company said it had no confirmation that any crashes, injuries or fatalities have been linked to the lock defect.
