Just ignore them

As a PR professional, I had to chuckle while reading Patrick Goldstein’s excellent article on pseudo-events like Super Bowl ’04 (“Just Another Nonevent Event,” Feb. 10).

While his points are valid and worthy, it all comes down to an unmentioned fact that The Times has been covering the Jackson boob-haha pretty incessantly.

I am waiting for that fine moment when American consumers wake up to realize they are victims of media. People have to learn to play Parcheesi and ignore needy “stars” who kvetch in one direction and pose in another.
