Official Discloses Plans to Sell Nuclear Fuel
Iran declared it plans to sell nuclear reactor fuel internationally, establishing itself as a country in possession of technology the United States wants to prevent from spreading.
Announcing the decision, Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said Iran has made an “important achievement” in gaining the technology to enrich uranium, and insisted that the project would be for civilian use.
Iran would market the fuel under the strict supervision of the U.N. nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, he said.
