Selections, made for a fast track,

appear in order of handicapper’s preference.

*--* 9345 FIRST RACE--1 mile, 4-year-old fillies, top claiming price $32,000, purse $34,000.

*--*

*--* PR Horse(PP) Jockey, Wt Odds 9219 Tell No Tales(1) T. Baze, 117 9-5 9151 a-Myofficewife(5) Pedroza, 117 2 --- Tender Trap(3) Leyva, 117 7-2 9262 My Honey Bunny(4) A. Bisono, 110 6 9216 Miss Cyprus(6) Saint-Martin, 117 8 9139 a-Nellie L(2) Valdivia, 117 2

*--*

Comments: TELL NO TALES steps up a notch after a claim by Bill Spawr and is the lone filly in here truly capable of passing horses. The pace should be swift and the consistent miss -- she has been first or second in half of her 22 races -- could score for the fourth time in her last six outings. MYOFFICEWIFE stretches out after being re-claimed by Jack Carava and she also might be able to sit a little. The knock against her is that she hasn’t won since Dec. 19, 2002, meaning she has lost 11 in a row. TENDER TRAP is back on dirt after tiring on a yielding turf course at Golden Gate Fields 11 days ago and she has won her two races on the dirt under jockey Juan Leyva. However, her two wins in SoCal both came at Hollywood Park. She’s 0 for 6 at this place.

*--* 9346 SECOND RACE--6 furlongs, 4-year-olds & up, fillies & mares, starter allowance, purse $24,000.

*--*

*--* PR Horse(PP) Jockey, Wt Odds 9041 Sweet Rhapsody(2) John, 120 8-5 9216 Charlotte Forever(5) D. Flores, 121 5-2 9216 Little Mis General(3) T. Baze, 120 3 9216 Corenn(4) V. Espinoza, 122 6 9216 Hot Sea(6) Valdivia, 122 8 9216 For My Angel(1) Santiago, 120 12

*--*

Comments: SWEET RHAPSODY finished second against a then-sharp Tejati earlier in the meet and she will be on or near the lead for John Sadler. ‘RHAPSODY, who has been second or third in all three of her local appearances, worked in 47 3/5 and 1:14 1/5 since raced. CHARLOTTE FOREVER was second in her first start over this track for Jean-Pierre Dupuis and will be a factor if able to run two alike. She had a bullet blowout in Inglewood three mornings ago. LITTLE MIS GENERAL is back in the Mike Puhich barn and she’ll be rolling late, but the pace doesn’t figure to be that hot. She certainly knows how to run third. The General Meeting filly has finished third in six of nine starts for Puhich, Bruce Headley and Mike Mitchell.

Longshot: HOT SEA

*--* 9347 THIRD RACE--1 mile, 3-year-old fillies, Cal breds, allowance/claiming, claiming price $80,000, purse $52,000.

*--*

*--* PR Horse(PP) Jockey, Wt Odds (9099) Allswellthatnswell(1) M. Smith, 118 9-5 (9134) She’s The General(2) T. Baze, 120 3 9012 Nicole And Ben(7) V. Espinoza, 118 9-2 --- Highly Arrogant(6) Berrio, 118 8 9247 Nandu(5) Santiago, 118 10 (9196) Beezer(4) Nakatani, 118 10 --- Ay Dee Dee(3) Nuesch, 118 15

*--*

Comments: ALLSWELLTHATNSWELL was very impressive breaking her maiden in her bow for Ted H. West and the Perfect Mandate filly will try to stretch out successfully. She finished with verve while being ridden out by Mike Smith and acts as if she won’t have any problem with the extra distance. SHE’S THE GENERAL is proven around two turns -- she broke her maiden at this trip on Jan. 15 -- but she’ll have to run faster to compete with the top one -- provided, of course, ‘WELL can stay a mile. If ‘WELL weakens, ‘GENERAL should be the beneficiary. NICOLE AND BEN adds the blinkers and goes long for Sadler after chasing Silent Sighs and Yearly Report, two extremely talented 3-year-old fillies, in the California Breeders’ Champion Stakes.

*--* 9348 FOURTH RACE--1 1/16 miles, 3-year-old maiden fillies, purse $46,000.

*--*

*--* PR Horse(PP) Jockey, Wt Odds 9011 Linda Belinda(6) Desormeaux, 120 2 9234 Pinlochle(8) D. Flores, 120 5 9175 Nifty Lady(4) Solis, 120 5-2 9175 Nor’wester(7) V. Espinoza, 120 4 9292 Run For Dessert(2) Santiago, 120 8 9134 Enduring Grace(5) Olivares, 120 12 9175 Red Lifesaver(3) T. Baze, 120 12 9175 Five Nickels(1) Nuesch, 120 15

*--*

Comments: LINDA BELINDA tries two turns for the first time in her third start for Bobby Frankel and the Grand Slam filly should be set for her best. ‘BELINDA worked in 1:01 2/5 and 1:13 1/5 at Hollypark prepping for her first start since Dec. 27 and this is not a particularly strong group of maidens. PINLOCHLE made some late progress in her bow for Eoin Harty and should improve a bunch with the experience and with the stretch out to 1 1/16 miles. The daughter of A.P. Indy worked in 1:00 4/5 on Sunday morning. NIFTY LADY almost gave Wayne Lukas his first win of the meet on Jan. 22 but was outfinished by Imagoldseeker when the 13-10 choice. ‘LADY has routed while the top two haven’t, but they do seem to have a lot more room to improve than she does.

Longshot: RUN FOR DESSERT

*--* 9349 FIFTH RACE--6 1/2 furlongs, 3-year-old fillies, top claiming price $25,000, purse $27,000.

*--*

*--* PR Horse(PP) Jockey, Wt Odds (9212) Home Tour(8) V. Espinoza, 116 5-2 (4351) Beach Pizza(1) Nakatani, 116 9-2 9092 Nighthunter Two(3) Solis, 116 7-2 9212 Talega De Oro(2) Ramsammy, 116 5 --- Wild Glory(5) Santiago, 116 8 9212 Chalet Chanteuse(9) Saint-Martin, 116 4 9212 Speak The Language(10) M. Ruis, 111 10 9212 Grand View Girls(4) F. Martinez, 116 10 9212 Simply Superior(7) A. Bisono, 109 15 9158 Smokegetenyoureyes(6) Pedroza, 116 15

*--*

Comments: HOME TOUR steps up a notch after rallying to win at 6-1 on Jan. 28. The Souvenir Copy filly keeps the same jockey as she makes her debut for Bob Hess Jr. and should get some pace to chase again. She’s seeking her third consecutive victory at this track. BEACH PIZZA hasn’t been seen since crushing maidens at Hollywood Park on June 19, but comes back cheap for a barn (Mike Mitchell) that is super first after a claim. ‘PIZZA has some solid drills at Hollypark and should come back running. NIGHTHUNTER TWO bombed at 7-10 on Jan. 8 but makes her first start for Headley after a claim and could be the speed of the speed. Maybe she’ll run back to that monster bow someday.

Longshot: WILD GLORY

*--* 9350 SIXTH RACE--1 1/16 miles, 4-year-olds & up, fillies & mares, allowance/claiming, claiming price $50,000, purse $52,000.

*--* PR Horse(PP) Jockey, Wt Odds 5042 Ela Ela(2) T. Baze, 117 5-2 9179 Icee Cheaspeake(7) V. Espinoza, 119 3 9179 Lucky In Love(4) Solis, 119 7-2 9179 Vegas Folly(3) Desormeaux, 117 5 9229 Potri Star(1) Nakatani, 119 8 9179 Broke The Slump(6) F. Martinez, 119 12 --- Sister Mary Hugh(5) Saint-Martin, 119 12

*--*

Comments: ELA ELA makes her first start since July 27 for Rafael Becerra with some solid drills behind her. The Falstaff filly worked in 1:11 and 1:25 over the surface and she did beat Valentine Dancer over this main track March 6. ICEE CHEASPEAKE finished third as the favorite behind wire-to-wire winner The Candi Queen and will be hoping for a quick pace in front of her in her third outing for Carla Gaines. The Iam The Iceman miss has been first, second or third in six of eight on the main. LUCKY IN LOVE finished a length behind ‘CHEASPEAKE in the common race on Jan. 22 and she’ll show her speed for Headley. The Bold Badgett mare is one for 11 at Santa Anita with the lone victory coming at a mile on Oct. 17.

Longshot: POTRI STAR

*--* 9351 SEVENTH RACE--1 mile on turf, 4-year-olds & up, allowance/claiming, claiming price $100,000, purse $80,000.

*--* PR Horse(PP) Jockey, Wt Odds 9188 Denied(13) V. Espinoza, 119 SCR --- Rhythm Mad(7) Solis, 117 7-2 (9121) Academy Spy(6) Nakatani, 115 9-2 5177 Soud(8) Desormeaux, 119 3 --- Jockey’s Dream(3) Valdivia, 119 5 --- Motives(11) V. Espinoza, 119 6 9180 Recordado(9) Santiago, 119 SCR 9180 Rock Opera(2) M. Ruis, 114 6 (9079) Sweet Stepper(1) M. Smith, 119 8 9177 Mighty Beau(14) Nuesch, 119 SCR 9206 Crackup(5) T. Baze, 117 12 9206 Murano(10) Ramsammy, 119 12 9152 Top Honours(4) D. Flores, 119 SCR --- Forty Sertudo(12) F. Martinez, 119 20

Comments: RHYTHM MAD is a new runner from France who will be making his debut for Headley. The King’s Theatre colt won half of his six starts overseas and has trained well enough, including 1:11 2/5 and 1:25 4/5 bullets last month. The first-time Lasix user has run well fresh before, so the main concern is the distance. A mile might be too short for him. ACADEMY SPY ran to his good drills when scoring at 9-1 in his first start in eight months for Jenine Sahadi. ‘SPY has earned two of his three wins over this course and looms a danger right back. SOUD is a consistent 6-year-old who hasn’t been seen since Aug. 15 at Del Mar. The son of Mr. Prospector broke his maiden over this grass course and he has run well off the bench before.

Longshot: ROCK OPERA

*--* 9352 EIGHTH RACE--6 furlongs, 3-year-old maiden fillies, top claiming price $32,000, purse $19,000.

*--* PR Horse(PP) Jockey, Wt Odds 9196 Miss Mark(6) Puglisi, 120 2 9208 Beautifulbutbored(7) F. Martinez, 118 6 9254 Early Tide(2) V. Espinoza, 120 7-2 9157 Political Prize(8) Atkinson, 118 5 --- Cabernet Lassie(10) M. Ruis, 115 8 9196 Intonation(9) Valdivia, 120 12 9155 Gambling Hope(5) A. Bisono, 111 12 9155 Howamidoin(1) Leyva, 120 15 --- Fair Amapola(4) A. Rodriguez, 120 20 --- Olympic Tryst(3) John, 120 20

*--*

Comments: MISS MARK drops a notch after a claim by Paul Aguirre, but the barn isn’t afraid to drop and cash and she looks like the speed of the field in a bad finale. She has worked twice since her last outing, so give her another chance after her loss at 2-1. Tricky Little Girl, the filly who finished directly in front of her on Jan. 24, came back to win as the favorite on Monday. BEAUTIFULBUTBORED makes her second start for Doug O’Neill with the blinkers attached and blinkers on is a pretty successful move for this stable. ‘BORED worked in 1:01 from the gate since raced and has to be considered in this context. EARLY TIDE completed the trifecta at 21-1 in her bow for Mel Stute.
