Court Filing Focuses on Peterson’s Affair
From Times Wire Reports
In the first detailed description of their case, prosecutors charge in a court filing that Scott Peterson’s affair with a massage therapist drove him to murder his pregnant wife.
Defense attorneys said Tuesday that the document contained “out-and-out falsehoods.”
Prosecutors wrote that Peterson’s affair and his conflicting statements to police and the media about it were sufficient to “support motive for murder.”
However, the court documents do not provide full details to support prosecutors’ theory of the case.
