From Bloomberg News

Hollinger International Inc., publisher of London’s Daily Telegraph, said former Chief Executive Conrad Black’s role in the distribution of $32.2 million in unauthorized payments still was unclear.

Richard Breeden, the former Securities and Exchange Commission chairman who is advising the company, said a special committee of Hollinger directors hasn’t yet drawn conclusions about what Black knew of the payments.

Separately, Chicago-based Hollinger said it granted Black a “short extension” on repaying the first installment of the $7.8 million in unauthorized payments that he received.
