Progress Media, a start-up liberal radio network, has begun adding to its programming lineup, although it only just announced its first distribution deal, on an AM station in Chicago. No Los Angeles or New York stations have yet been signed.

The network said Tuesday that it has finalized its long-discussed deal with comedian Al Franken, who will host a weekday show when the service gets underway later this year. In addition, lawyer and activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will co-host a show, “Champions of Justice,” which Progress Media said will look at the “inner workings of corporations.”
