Murder Suspect Shoots Himself, Sets Off Blast

A man wanted in the slayings of three members of his girlfriend’s family shot himself in the chest and blew himself up in a stolen car as police in Apollo tried to pull him over, authorities said.

Donald Robinson Barnhart, 31, had been wanted on criminal homicide charges in the shooting deaths of his girlfriend’s sister, Rhonda Walters, 35; her husband, David Lee Walters, 27; and their 19-month-old daughter, Destini. The child also was stabbed, police said. They were found dead Tuesday in their mobile home in western Pennsylvania.
