From Times Wire Reports

A jet traveling from Frankfurt, Germany, to Atlanta made an emergency landing in Ireland because of a bomb threat, but a search turned up nothing.

Delta Airlines Flight 27 landed at Shannon Airport in western Ireland after the crew found a note in a restroom suggesting there could be a bomb aboard, said Siobhan Moore, spokeswoman for airport operating company Aer Rianta.

All 132 passengers and 12 crew members were evacuated. The plane then taxied to a remote area, and police and bomb disposal experts waited until the jet’s scheduled arrival time in the U.S. before searching it.
