Twin pictures

Kudos to Mary Ellen Mark on her new book, “Twins” (“Double Prints,” Jan. 11). She is an outstanding photographer. Nevertheless, for serious fans of photography, acknowledgments should be given to photographer Harvey Stein for his book “Parallels: A Look at Twins” published in 1978. It is a stunning book in which exquisite detail is devoted to each image. The complex psychological and emotional aspects of the life of an identical twin are also addressed in the excellent text by Ted Wolner.
