Bechtel Corp. Wins Contract for Airport

Qatar said it has awarded a $2.5-billion contract to California-based construction firm Bechtel Corp. to design and build a new airport.
Abdul Aziz Noaimi, chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, said the project would be implemented in three phases, costing a total of about $5 billion. Bechtel, of San Francisco, will handle the first phase.
