Greece’s main archeological museum will reopen in time for the Olympics even though renovations were delayed by a legal dispute, the museum’s director said Friday.

The National Archaeological Museum of Athens, a top tourist attraction, is considered the country’s most important showcase for ancient Greek artifacts.

Renovations were delayed because a company that lost bidding to do the work had sued. Museum director Nikolaos Kaltsas said the delays forced the museum to scale back the renovation to make sure it opens for the Aug. 13-29 Games in Athens.
