Gang-Rape Trial
Re “Gang-Rape Case Ends in Mistrial,” June 29: The first reaction I had to the hung jury outcome in the gang-rape trial was “What does it take? Being there?” These jurors have taken the meaning of reasonable doubt far beyond the ken of common sense. They should be ashamed of themselves for not using their common sense when listening to the defense lawyer’s slanderous attacks.
How does an unconscious woman give consent? Every future rape victim will have a much harder time coming forward based on this jury’s poor performance.
