Hotel makes room for Britney
Guests at the Onyx Hotel in Boston can now sleep in Britney Spears’ room -- if only in their dreams.
The singer’s mother, Lynne, designed a room at the Onyx to look just like the 22-year-old pop singer’s bedroom at her home in Kentwood, La.
The mini-bar is stocked with some of Britney’s favorite treats -- Cheetos, strawberry Pop Tarts, Starburst candy, Red Bull, Pepsi and orange juice. Her CDs and a DVD of her 2002 movie “Crossroads” are also on hand.
A night in the 325-square-foot room will run $349 in the high season (spring, summer, fall). The rest of the year, it’s $259. Prices for most of the rooms at the Onyx range from $229 to $299.
The hotel donates 10% of the room charge to the Britney Spears Foundation, which helps sick children and funds a performing arts camp in Louisiana.
