Judge Delays Hearing on Corona E-Mail

From Times Staff Reports

A Riverside County judge on Thursday delayed a hearing about whether to release more than 330 personal e-mails written by two Corona city councilmen.

The e-mails, written by Darrell Talbert and Jeff Miller, contain information about a now-defunct energy consulting company they formed during the city’s unsuccessful attempt to take over Southern California Edison’s power lines and facilities.

Critics allege that the city gave up on its takeover bid, which would have cost $3 million, in part because of the contents of the communications.
