Coup Suspects Plead Guilty to Lesser Charges

All but three of 70 suspected mercenaries accused of plotting a coup in Equatorial Guinea pleaded guilty to lesser charges in Zimbabwe.
The suspects, all South African citizens who were arrested in Zimbabwe in March, are accused of conspiring to carry out the coup with weapons acquired in Zimbabwe. They admitted breaching Zimbabwe’s immigration and aviation laws.
