Update -- Sacramento is off to a slow start; its lone win came against Phoenix on opening night. The Monarchs seem to be struggling with the motion offense installed by Coach John Whisenant. Only two players are averaging in double figures. The biggest mystery is forward Tangela Smith, who is averaging 3.8 points a game despite a career average of 11.3. She has made only seven of 32 shots. The Sparks’ Lisa Leslie is three rebounds shy of 2,000, a milestone no WNBA player has reached.
