Two South African Peacekeepers Are Killed
From Times Wire Reports
Two South African U.N. peacekeepers were killed in Congo, raising fresh fears that the country’s fragile peace process could be shattered even though renegade troops pulled out of the town of Bukavu.
The United Nations said the two peacekeepers were shot and nine others wounded when the troops’ convoy was ambushed near Goma. They said they did not know who was responsible.
