Swedish police said they arrested exiled leaders of a separatist group that has been fighting Indonesia for independence in the province of Aceh since 1976. They said the Free Aceh Movement leaders were suspected of “grave breaches of international law.”

A spokesman for the group said leaders Malik Mahmud and Zaini Abdullah were in custody. The home of Hasan di Tiro, the group’s “head of state,” had been raided but he was not arrested, the spokesman said.
