From Times Wire Reports

The owners of a subsidized apartment complex reached a $3.8-million settlement with more than 100 tenants who said the neglected buildings made them ill.

In a July 2001 lawsuit, 124 tenants alleged that the Park Hill Apartments were infested with mold, rodents, sewage leaks and defective furnaces.

As a result, many of the tenants suffered asthma, upper respiratory problems and skin problems, said their attorney.
