Britney, 50 Cent cross paths

So I knew Britney Spears was in the house by the human wall guarding her. Burly bodyguard Todd Dukes is a cement fortress, drawbridge and moat all in one. We eyed the diva at El Centro on Thursday night, where despite surgery five days before, she was holding court with a bevy of babes. And we hear the tabloids got it all wrong, trying to make her new beaux Kevin Federline out to be a cad. Turns out he’s a very calming influence on her during the Sturm und Drang of mega-stardom, her pals tell me. And despite his ex’s claims that he cheated on her, the gals tell me he’d broken up with her four months before meeting Britney.... And in more soap opera verite, 50 Cent also did an El Centro drive-by on Thursday night. Seems no one can get enough of El Centro’s funky stuff.... We would have loved to stick around for more dish, but Motochrist was debuting its new guitarist at King King, and we couldn’t miss the fireworks. Now the black-hot rock band boasts three guitarists, and their wall of sound is stupendous. By the time they got to their Evel Knievel tribute song, the crowd was at their mercy.... And speaking of Knievel, we got the famed daredevil’s signature Sunday when he appeared at Galpin Ford in North Hills. Tell you what: The only crowd uglier than a Motochrist crowd is an Evel Knievel crowd. Woo doggy!

In H’wood

We hear Snatch, a Monday night hip-hop club, is now at Hollywood’s Level 3 nightclub .... Bopped into El Guapo Cantina on Melrose for its slammin’ Friday happy hour, and the only thing hotter than the AC/DC blaring on the sound system was Carmen Electra rockin’ out in a nearby booth.... On Saturday at the Chateau Marmont, Xan Cassavetes (daughter of filmmaker John Cassavetes and actress Gena Rowlands) had a lovely tete-a-tete celebrating the completion of her new film, “The Sky Is Always Greener.” Tell me about it.
