The city’s ban on overnight parking of recreational vehicles is legal, but a Superior Court judge found that there were “extenuating circumstances” and dismissed a pair of $30 citations against a disabled man who lives in an RV.

The ordinance prohibiting parking of RVs, motor homes or travel trailers on city streets from 2 to 6 a.m. “is a legally permissible restriction on parking,” Judge William McLafferty wrote last week in a seven-page decision.
