‘Dirty War’ Figure to Face Second Trial

The former head of Mexico’s secret police was ordered to face a second “dirty war” trial, the latest victory for prosecutors working to punish state atrocities committed against leftists.
A federal judge found enough evidence to try Miguel Nazar Haro in the 1974 disappearance of a Communist rebel leader. Last week, another judge ordered Nazar Haro, 79, tried in the 1975 kidnapping of an urban rebel who was never seen again.
