Man Whose Family Was Slain Is Back on Job
The only suspect named by police in a quintuple slaying last year is back to work full time in Bakersfield’s school district, school officials said.
Vincent Brothers resumed work Monday in a district maintenance and operations office. The Fremont School vice principal named in the killing of his family last year will stay off school campuses for now.
On July 8, a family friend found the bodies of Brothers’ wife, Joanie Harper, 39; their children Marques, 4, Lyndsey, 2, and Marshall, 6 weeks old; and Joanie’s mother, Earnestine Harper, 70.
Brothers was arrested but released hours later. He was never charged with the crime, though he remains under investigation.
