Thousands Protest Actions of Monarch

About 10,000 people marched peacefully through the streets of the Nepalese capital, Katmandu, in the latest protest against the king for dismissing an elected government and replacing it with one loyal to the monarchy.
King Gyanendra fired Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in October 2002, accusing him of incompetence and failing to control a communist insurgency.
