Freddie Mac Lobbyist Quits Amid Probe
Mortgage finance company Freddie Mac, struggling to restore confidence after an accounting scandal, said that its chief lobbyist had left the company and that it was giving the government information about compliance with federal campaign finance laws.
Freddie Mac declined to provide details of its review of election law compliance or whether it affected the departure of Mitchell Delk, its senior vice president for government relations.
Delk denies violating any law with the dinners, said his lawyer, Kenneth A. Gross.
