Re “Clothes Made Overseas Sold by Bush ‘04,” March 20:

Why not? With the White House fabricating evidence for war with Iraq, sewing up contracts for Halliburton, masking the true cost of the Medicare bill, spinning images of 9/11 for reelection, cutting environmental laws to suit industry, weaving tax cuts for the wealthy -- and its whole-cloth justifications for outsourcing American jobs -- this latest gaffe seems tailor-made. In fact, how fitting that one of the foreign-made clothing items is a fleece pullover. I don’t recall an administration more skilled at fleecing the electorate or pulling the wool over our eyes.
