The author of “Pentagon’s Endless Friendly Fire Probe” (Commentary, March 22), David J. Morris, was described as a “former Marine.” There are retired Marines, active-duty Marines, even dead Marines, but there are no former Marines. Better you hear this from me than my drill instructor.
