From Times Wire Reports

Former U.S. Rep. Bill Janklow gets out of jail Monday after serving 100 days for causing a car wreck that killed a man -- and he might not stay in South Dakota, where he was a four-term governor and a political kingmaker for 30 years.

Perry Danforth, chief court services officer, says it appears that Janklow, a Republican, may be considering requesting that he be able to leave the state.

Janklow ran a stop sign at an intersection last August and crashed into motorcyclist Randy Scott, 55, of Hardwick, Minn., killing him. Scott’s relatives have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Janklow in civil court.
