Blue Nile, Investors Sell $76.7 Million in Shares

Bessemer Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Blue Nile Inc. sold to the public $76.7 million of shares in Blue Nile, an Internet seller of diamonds and jewelry.

In the initial public offering, Seattle-based Blue Nile and investors in the company sold 3.74 million shares at $20.50 each, compared with a price of $17.50 to $19.50 a share forecast by the company in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Also Wednesday, Volterra Semiconductor Corp., based in Fremont, Calif., filed to sell as much as $50 million in stock in an IPO.
