Couple Sentenced in Child-Porn Case

A man convicted of downloading child pornography was sentenced in Lexington to nearly 76 years in prison after officials agreed he posed enough of a danger to go beyond federal sentencing guidelines.
Terry Adkins would have faced up to 30 years in prison, but U.S. District Judge Karl Forester granted prosecutors’ request for a harsher sentence.
Adkins’ wife, Jane, who was his accomplice, received a 30-year prison sentence. Their lawyers said they would appeal.
