Man Pleads Guilty to Drug, Tax Charges

A Prather man who said he was growing marijuana for medical purposes has pleaded guilty to illegally manufacturing the drug and failing to report more than $150,000 in income.
Stuart Olden Johnson, 38, entered the pleas Monday as part of an agreement with prosecutors in which he admitted that he failed to file income tax returns for the years 2001 to 2003.
Johnson had 85 marijuana plants growing in his home.
