Scientists Voice Concern in Evolution Sticker Suit

From Staff and Wire Reports

A group of about 30 scientists filed a friend-of-the-court brief in Atlanta declaring that there was a “growing scientific controversy” regarding the modern theory of evolution, and that students should be fully informed about the debate.

The brief was filed in a case in U.S. District Court that would determine whether a sticker stating that evolution was “a theory, not a fact” can remain inside textbooks in Cobb County.

Six parents and the American Civl Liberties Union filed a lawsuit over the sticker, saying it calls into question the validity of Darwin’s theory, which is supported by a majority of the scientific community.
