A South African court has postponed the trial of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s son on charges that he helped finance a foiled coup plot.

Mark Thatcher will stand trial in April on charges that he backed an attempt to overthrow Equatorial Guinean President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, a magistrate said.

Thatcher, who denies the charges, appeared in court looking relaxed. He will still have to report daily to police and remain confined to the Cape Town area as demanded by his bail conditions.
