They Don’t Want to Go

Re “Emergency Reservists Slow to Heed Call,” Sept. 29: So 30% of the Army’s Ready Reservists, who presumably are mobilized only in a national emergency, have failed to report for duty (i.e., to be sent to Iraq). Perhaps, if we’re lucky, they’re just staying home long enough to vote in November.
