2 Men Arrested in Death of Maryland Teenager
Two men charged in the death of a 15-year-old girl whose burning body was found at a park in Maryland have been arrested in California, the FBI announced Saturday.
Jason Terance Richards, 24, and Eric Thomas Watkins, 19, were picked up Friday by sheriff’s deputies in Willits, Calif., about 140 miles north of San Francisco, on a warrant for fleeing Maryland to avoid prosecution in the slaying of Quatrina Johnson.
Authorities said the girl probably was strangled before being set on fire July 20 in a wooded area of Gwynnvale Park in Baltimore County, Md. Watkins and Richards were jailed without bond while awaiting extradition to Maryland.
