Bioterrorism Concerns
Sunday I was one of the lucky ones waiting in line for four hours to get my flu shot at a local pharmacy. Hundreds in line behind me were sent packing. According to the latest information, our government knew about the Liverpool vaccine problem a year ago. But instead of prodding American pharmaceutical companies to help out by manufacturing needed vaccine, the administration did nothing.
If our government can’t even protect us from a possible flu epidemic, how in the world can the Bush administration claim that it could successfully cope with a biological terrorist attack such as anthrax or smallpox?
