City Parks May Get Their Own Rangers

A City Council committee on Tuesday will consider a proposal to assign rangers to each of the city’s large regional parks.
The parks that could get their own rangers are Griffith Park, Elysian Park, Runyon Canyon, Sepulveda Basin, Hansen Dam, Ernest Debs Park, Cabrillo Beach, Venice Beach and Harbor Regional Park.
Under current regulations, those parks sometimes have rangers and sometimes do not.
